Hi!

For those still subscribed to the list:
As you recall, I announced the project to be dead some one and a half years
ago, saying I left in favor for the obversive project. That project suffered
the fate of many other OSS-projects - the developers simply did not have
enough free time to get the project to a useful state. No development
happened on obversive since more than a year.
Last week I felt like trying out a few concepts about R-embedding and turned
back to the RKWard codebase. Within relatively short time I got fairly far
and so I went on and prepared a new release.
The most noteable change is that RKWard now uses a PHP-backend for the
plugins. GUI-settings are converted to R-code using the full power of PHP.
Further PHP allows me to process the R-output with relative easy and generate
fancy HTML-output.
Hence, while RKWard still is nowhere near useable, one more important piece -
the generation of nice formatted output - is now in place (while of course a
lot will still be changed). The new release may give you a better picture of
what RKWard might one day become.
If you're still interested, please have a look at the new release and tell me
what you think. Of course I'm also still highly interested in attracting
further developers. So, if you like what you see, and you would like to get
involved, please contact me.

Thomas
