something close to your idea with the unitests,i was referring to testing.
They way that testing can be done,can be discussed here.

Who is responsible for the patches/bugs of the x KDE project?The devs of the
project.
It is not possible by one man to test all the code of KDE..
And there is always the possibility of a coordinator.
