No, but only now did we have the idea and right people in one place.

This has nothing to do with desperation. It is a matter of us making
sure that we do not get into a situation where we are really
desperate. If people want developer sprints and conferences funded in
the future the money for them needs to come from somewhere.
And yes there are other options as well and they are being worked on
too in addition to this.
