I talked with Till Adam about that last week, and I'm supportive. Your 
reasoning closely resembles mind. OpenSuse and Kubuntu Gutsy are shipping the 
enterprise branch now, and it looks very solid.

The reasons for a strict feature freeze have also diminished, everybody seems 
to be working on trunk/, so we're not redirecting energy away from getting 
4.0 in shape, in fact it's a win there as well.
