Proposed Changes to the Release Plan

Howdy,

Yet-another-attempt...

There seems to be strong agreement that we aren't ready
to call the next release "beta quality".  So, unless there
are objections, I'd like to change the plan to make the
next tagging and release "alpha2".

The tagging will occur on 27 June.
We can have a bic Monday on 25 June.

And try again next month to have beta1.

Please voice any objections as soon as possible.
We need to move on...
