Not sure why KDE runs slow on your desktop. It is much faster than
Gnome here. Are you running gnome apps in KDE?

At the moment, Raptor has no KDE or Plasma dependancies. All it
requires it Qt4. However, due to the new plugins, raptor isn't
particularly useful right now. It is only showing the background image
and none of the icons.
