Guys, I'm still really really wondering why we don't simply use Plasma
technologies, which provides all the API we need, which has been studied by
really knowledgeable people, and analyzed in every detail. Why reinventing
the wheel and try to overengineer things when there's no need for that?

Or, even better, why we don't just use kickoff as backend (with the model-view
approach) and just write a new delegate for painting? That's by far the
easiest, most bugfree and quicker route, and allows us to concentrate just on
the view. And then we can simply expand incrementally from there. But giving
something to people to look at and to play with will give us much feedback
and new developers.

Bye,
-Riccardo
