Hello everyone,
I am researcher at Tilburg University on among other things collective
data governance (incl. data commons & data cooperatives), and have a
background in political theory, history, science and technology studies
(STS) and did a phd on open government and open data from a more
anthropological perspective.
I initially joined primary to stay in contact with the world 'outside'
of academia.
I am interested in a variety of questions, incl.
-what are good and progressive ways to govern/manage data (as
collective, or in other forms)
-how best to understand data commons/collectives/cooperatives
-what is the good that is at stake when governing data collectively:
data, or something else?
-what happened with polypoly? what can we learn from the project?
I am not exactly sure yet what I can and want to contribute, but I am
more than happy to figure that out with you!
Cheers,
Gijs van Maanen
