Hi everyone!

Good idea to start with a quick intro of everyone here - let me be next:

My name is Helge. I studied Mathematics (Analytical Number Theory, in case someone cares), worked with different companies providing software to Insurance companies and am currently employed at an insurance company, so by now I am an actuary.

I have been for a long time, at least since the Snowden revelations, been involved with privacy, as I see the lack thereof as a major danger to our societies. I do indeed have a degoogled smartphone, no whatsapp account and own my own router. Well, I suspect none of the above is very special in this mailing list, although usually people's eyes just go empty when you say stuff like that.

I see great potential in this project. To really make a difference it is crucial that users are provided control over their data while at the same time can maintain their lazy stance ("I don't care as long as everything is running, I just don't have the time.").

What can I contribute? Probably not a whole lot of code, but I'm still willing to put my time into the project, which - if my dreams come true - will require all kinds of support. So let's say I'm willing to supply my brain, do as you like with it.

Next one up?

Helge
