Moin!

I am Björn, somewhere in the very late mid 40ies and living in Berlin. As I
kind of started our get2gether here, I wanted to introduce myself a little
bit.

At some point I was approved with a Diploma in Psychology, but I have been
working in IT basically all of my professional life. I started in the area of
Usability / User Experience (UX) / User research, but manly do project
management in a consultancy nowadays.

I am socialized in Free Software Communities. In the early 2000s I co-founded
an initiative that provided UX support for Free Software projects. I helped to
build up the visual design group in KDE and the user experience team for
LibreOffice. And many many more :)

Linux was my choice, because I always had a problem trusting binaries
delivered by companies that make insane profits. So the privacy problem is
driving my for a long time. I was very happy, when I found polypoly, because I
could stop activities I had started myself and support polypoly instead.

But now, I cannot accept that the right thing - users having control over
their own data - will die with polypoly. I am willing to spend a decent amount
of time on this project, because I am convinced we can do it.

I really hope we can form a team here that is able to move things forward. And
I am curious to learn who you are ;)

Cheers,
Björn
