Rethinking the KOrganizer reminder daemon

... and we had also mentioned it on the summary post on Planet KDE now. 

I don't see any use-case being mentioned that would suffer from this and/or 
isn't otherwise covered, did I miss anything? Otherwise I'd now try to 
continue this as originally suggested.
