I decided to make it span the full width of the screen because not doing this is IMO one of the dumbest parts of that macOS dock, because it pointlessly  wastes the bottom-left-most and bottom-right-most pixels, which are two of the four easiest to click pixels in the whole screen.
  
  Even if you don't agree with the dock being limited in width, I think you still should make it limited. It is one of the most distinct visual aspects of the original desktop.
