REVISION SUMMARY
  Attempt to avoid non-refreshing avatar by using `OpacityMask` instead
  of `ShaderEffect`

TEST PLAN
  - Add Kickoff
  - Change avatar in User Manager
  - See if avatar in Kickoff changes or stays blank
