  I would agree with that to a large extent. The current defaults while not being ideal for everyone, are in my opinion at a reasonable middle ground already. Increasing even by this 1pt starts to skew this too far one way.

  I can't comment on bug reports, but as far as I can think with user feedback on Kubuntu, the default fon't size has not been an issue of concern on any serious level.
