REVISION SUMMARY
  Not sure if the stricter error checking is from gcc, cmake, or Qt, but on my system with recent versions, I get compile errors, because 'int' cannot be promoted to 'enum' automatically.

TEST PLAN
  Only compilation against Qt5 tested.
