One idea I was thinking about for this case - why not replace
the audio player window thumbnail with the album cover art?

The window of the player is not really useful in the thumbnail;
it's mostly just a window with some listviews and controls anyway,
nothing interesting or useful. But we do have more interesting
data for it - showing the album art instead (if available on the
mpris). That would at least give some useful/nice info. Plus the
music players are usually minimized anyway (breaking the thumbnails).
