Qt 5.4 for workspace

For what is worth, I need to say that I also want exactly that feature in 
KWin. So I'm also in the situation that I would love using 5.4, but see the 
disadvantages.

My suggestion would be to ifdef that code and as soon as we depend on 5.4 
remove the ifdef and old code path. I wouldn't mind updating the Qt version a 
week or two after it's released.
