just some random ideas riffing on this (i'm sure smarter ones would come up 
after actually thinking on it)
* file search, often opened documents could go up in the results
* context menus of taskbar entries, often used documents for each entry
* category in launcher
* a kio accessible from dolphin sidebar
* some kind of timeline to review the history of what you did this past week
