Plasma Meeting March, 3rd, 2014

Present:

Sebastian Kügler
- Kickoff visual rework pretty much done
- ported runners: places, services, recentdocuments, locations, shell, 
bookmarks
- bookmarks runner for chrome now picks up changes on the fly
- small fixes in systemtray layout


Martin Gräßlin:
- ECM no finds EGL (important for thumbnails)
- ECM has FindWayland now
- cmake config for KDecoration
- patch to show isOnAllDesktops button conditionally
- patch to remove (unmaintained, unoptimized, too-little-tlc) OpenGL1 backend 
under way


Marco Martin:
- Ported interactive console -- seems to work (can be invoked via dbus)
- panel autohide is back again
- Fixes and optimizations in systemtray
- removed the singleton (so support for more systemtrays is closer again)
- hidpi branch merged into Plasma
- started to port SLC applet and engine


Jens Reuterberg:
- Andrew has been working on a prototype for theme, asks for feedback
- problems with icons fixed
- work on new icon theme underway (will take a long time)
- work on launch pages wordpress theme going on
- got feedback for work on new style
- brought up systemsettings problem:
  - specific widgets misuse: can be reported as bugs
  - redesign needs more thinking, bof at akademy?
- appeared on Linux Action Show:

Ivan Cukic:
- had to to leave early, will discuss questions here on the list


David Edmundson
- Notes Plasmoid is pretty-much-half-done in davidedmundson/notes
- SVGItem moved into scenegraph
- IconItem moving into scenegraph in progress
- FrameSvg to be done this week
