wallpapers are told what the target size should be. this is very useful, 
particularly when configuring things, as it tells you exactly what size, for 
instance, the target containment will be.

the idea that the containment size is equal to the screen size is actually 
only coincidental for plasma-desktop. it isn't necessarily true at all.

so i would recommend using those hints. relevant apidox:
