it definitely covers the topic, yes :) 

hopefully it will be clear and useful enough; if it isn't, we can add to it. 
it's a wiki, so if you run into issues that aren't clear, you can even help 
improve that page...

other sources of usefulness might be the code of the various shells already 
written (desktop, netbook, mobile, kpart, etc.) and of course this list for 
spot questions ...
