Embossed effect on Plasma digital clock

I just noticed that on my recent trunk build of 4.6 (within the last
week or so), the embossed effect on the digital clock widget doesn't
seem to be applied to the date.  Is this intentional?  It doesn't look
bad on a larger panel, but it is a bit inconsistent; on a small
panel[0], it looks quite out of place (figuratively, /and/ literally,
due to alignment issues).
