Hm... to be sincere, I think that the battery plasmoid should just be 
converted to use KIcon to draw the battery, not an SVG.
This for example ensures that it's not the only icon in the panel which is not 
colorized or affected by configuring effects in the control center (e.g. if 
you choose to make all your icons pink) :-)

And it just looks better...
