because i was "tainted" by looking at MIDs from the people who coined the 
term, Intel, and not the MIDs that we all tend to think of such as the n810. 

the Intel MID concept was for a much larger screen, for one.

that's the idea behind trying to offer more widgets-on-canvas-are-your-
primary-interface tools in these cases. it won't work on the desktop/laptop 
(where something like a full gwenview or amarok make much more sense), but 
it's probably perfect for these devices.
