Nice that you sent a proposal =). Just read it and what most concerns me is 
that the mockups looks too much like Maemo itself, and the last years prove 
that Maemo's UI was a mess for smaller devices.

Having a panel that shows some kind of "bubbles" for menus doesn't make use of 
the whole available space. It would be good something like what Emmanuel 
proposed that use Plasma's concept of activities and also uses the available 
space with plasmoids, making the user's life easier ;)
