hm.. yes, this looks better on the Computer page, but worse on the Leave
page.. hrm hrm.

i wonder if this one can be tweaked a bit, so that "if a section header is the
last item" becomes "if a section header is more than N% of the way down a
column" ... maybe 70%? 75%? 80%? would take some playing with it to see the
visual results i think, but it might result in a nicer flow?
alternatively ... (or aditionally?)
for getting a rule that works for the Leave page ... if all headings fit on the
page witout scrolling when in their own columns, favour their own columns.
that would prevent the poor situation you highlighted on the Computer page
because the center section wouldn't fit on the page in it's own column, and so
the second heading would still show up in the first column...
?
