GSoC application draft: extenders.

Hello,

I've gotten some usefull feedback on IRC (thanks richmoore and aseigo :)),
and I've updated my proposal. There's probably still some stuff to
fine-tune, but this 5th draft version is becoming pretty decent I think.
Any feedback on the current version is very much appreciated. :)
