javascript should be preferred over Yet Another In-Application Language 
(honestly, that really is a disease, and one i just don't). as for making 
themes more complex, i also really don't see the win here (other than to make 
theming really complex and allow themers to override any/all of the author's 
wishes; it's really the wrong place for this ...)
