It really would be nice to be able to configure the icon size (and the font size!) for the kickoff menu. But it shouldn't rely on the standard icon size but be completely independent. 

And it should be possible to configure different sizes for the menu icons and the icons on the tabs. I'd prefer bigger icons for the menu and smaller icons for the category tabs. 
I'd also like to configure the icon sizes independent for every tab content, e.g. bigger icons in the "quit" tab and smaller icons in the "recently used" tab.
