Hi,
I see moving applets in the panel is implemented. However applets take too much space. In my case if i remove the taskbar widget from the panel, i can't move the clock widget to the right. That is because the applet is too wide. Actually i can move the clock, but when i release the mouse clock get centered in its widget space.
