I tried poking around the plasma code without any success. But then I upgraded
to the xorg RC and now I no longer have the system nonresponsiveness when
rotating the screen. The geometry is better but the taskbar is usually in the
wrong position. Once is a great while the taskbar goes to the right place but is
slightly too long. I put some more comments and screenshots on the bug report.
