I've got the same bug when I use openoffice-writer and when I write an email with thunderbird (sigh),here my system:

NVidia FX 5200
distro: openSuse 11.0
NVidia driver version: 173.14.09
Kernel : 2.6.25.9-0.2-pae
KDE: 4.0.4 (KDE 4.0.4 >= 20080505) "release 15.1"
OO version: 2.4.0
