that's the reason for the QWidget *configuration(QWidget *parent) (public, 
virtual) method =) 

however, there are some lose ends still i think:

* the ability for one plugin to provide multiple options to list (e.g. the 
current one should add "Image" and "Slideshow" to the options list)

* access to the screen preview area; though this should be done easily enough 
by simply instantiating the plugin and setting its rect to be that small area 
of the monitor picture
