When I have 10 or more windows open, plasma (and I think it is the taskbar) takes 23 - 27 percent of cpu. when I add more windows, this number gets even higher. With only two windows open, plasma takes about 1 or 2 percent. I have an Core2Duo with 2,4 GHz.
