4 days to RC1, planning for 4.2

hello everyone ...

we have 4 days until the RC1 tagging of KDE 4.1. plasma is in awesome shape. 
the delta between 4.0 and 4.1 is  pretty amazing.

when the RC1 tagging happens .. we're pretty much done. only important fixes 
will go in from that point forward, and commits *must* be quite strictly peer 
reviewed.

shortly after RC1 i hope to see trunk open for 4.2. when that happens i'd like 
to get together with everyone on irc and have a planning session for what 
4.2's feature goals will be.

but right now we have those 4 days to make plasma rock even more for 4.1. it's 
also a weekend which is a better time for many of us to work on the code, art, 
etc.

i'll be on irc in #plasma pretty much constantly[1] between now and RC1 
tagging working on fixing various things. i'd like to invite you all to join me 
as you can. close bugs, polish features, make things as beautiful and rocking 
as possible.

the naysayers are going to start eating their words with 4.1 and our fans are 
going to be happier than ever. let's give both groups exactly what they 
deserve ;)

[1] exceptions: sleeping time plus saturday afternoon; i have an early dinner 
planned with friends, but that'll be early morning hours in europe, so 
hopefully won't be too big of a deal ;)
