you probably will also want to subscribe to this mailing list and you may want 
to look over the plasma related bugs on bugs.kde.org, the Plasma tasks page 
at http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/Plasma/Tasks can give you some ideas 
where to start hacking .. or you can always follow your own inspiration in 
creating plasmoids, engines, etc...

is there a particular area you are interested in working on?
