you think or you know? =) seeing as it works for other applets, i doubt this 
is the issue, actually.

something will be swallowing it. i think it's specific to the Plasma::Icon 
widget. i'd look into Icon::mousePressEvent and Icon::mouseMoveEvent. it may 
be a simple matter of the event not being accepted properly somewhere in 
there.
