[Panel-devel] Mouse Events for applets

I'm trying to address bug http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154124 but
when I put a handler for mouseDragEvent on the IconApplet it never fires.  I
think it's being intercepted by applethandle.  Is there a signal that should
be caught that I'm missing or is there another way to get this event?
