i'll admit i'm rather paranoid of kicker devel slipping back into the "just 
add/change stuff randomly without care for the surrounding design" mode that 
made the codebase rather unhappy... my finger on that trigger is pretty 
itchy ;)

yeah, i wasn't talking about the search line. in fact, since the kmenu code 
stands a decent chance of being giving the boot at some point, refactoring 
recentapps becomes more of a necessity.

oh, i count formatting work into my sums. it helps maintainability and it 
takes time =))
