[Owncloud] Can't create users after 5.0.11 update

As the subject says: I can enter username, password, select a group and
hit create. The screen refreshes, but no new entry  is shown. Nothing gets
logged despite a loglevel of "0".

One hint: At this time owncloud creates a directory "owncloud-<hex value>"
which contains some *gz files with creation dates 1 day in tthe future:

Small correction: The above directory gets recreated every X minutes / 
event (?). As I tried to
download the above listing from the directory it was gone.
