Evolution is natively able to sync via carddav (it is called webdav
there) using the full address of the addressbook
( like
https://mydomain.com/owncloud/remote.php/carddav/addressbooks/username/contacts/ ). I currently use this method, and except for a somehow slow sync behavior (two changes of the same contact in rapid succession lead to an error message like 'contact changed on server, not syncing') I had no problems so far.

There is also an AddOn for Thunderbird (SOGo Connector in cooperation
with MoreFunctionsForAddressbook) that allows synchronisation with
owncloud addressbooks (using the same address as above, I think).
However this is limited by the capabilities of the Thunderbird
addressbook (not more than 2 Mail addresses per contact, and maybe other
limitations I did not yet encounter).

regards,
Thomas
