Does it also fail at that size when the file size is smaller than 2GB?

I just uploaded a 971.8MB file (with web interface) copied it with Dolphin from 
webdavs://<user>@<server>:443/owncloud/remote.php/webdav/ to ~/ and that went 
fine. 
<server> is on my LAN though.
