Yes it is and it's the intend of "ownCloud for Debian":

IIRC it was still too much in development, and therefor not stable enough, 
before the freeze happened.
I think it was Damien Raude-Morvan intend to package the client for Wheezy+1 
(Jessie).

I've CC-ed the owncloud maintainers ML, since it's probably a good idea to
