I could also recycle the mechanism I implemented for the acceptance test suite:
http://gitorious.org/owncloud-acceptance-test-suite/owncloud-acceptance-test-suite/trees/master/Vagrant

With a single command call I can create a virtual box image as well. 
Integration with Jenkins at this point is a no-brainer and can be done within a short period of time.
