There is a nice page on the Wordpress Wiki on how to get the right RSS feed 
based on tags or categories, whatever you

come up with this plan:



I will setup a blog page on owncloud.org. This will let us post any direct 
announcements to the community.



Then install this Wordpress plugin: 

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/feedwordpress/



The plugin would make the Wordpress install act like a 'planet' site and will 
aggregate posts from specified feeds. We can the  add rss feeds of owncloud 
categories in our blogs and have them show up on the owncloud.org blog page. 



The plugin will run best with a cron job to update the blog posts. Is this 
possible Frank?

If we set up a blog on oc.org, any community member should be theoretically

able to post on it. Would it not be better to provide a planet in this case?

I think you're right, yes. Everybody can pick his personally prefered blog 
platform (wordpress.com, tumblr whatever) and we can aggregate on oc.org, 
either all of it or just what is tagged somehow.
