[Owncloud] Possible to extend OwnCloud to sync Zotero databases?

Hi Felix,
I also like this idea. Let me understand it better, though.
Zotero can already use a webdav directory instead of the local one.
What you want to do further is having Zotero to use ownCloud database
as opposed to its own sqlite db. Do I understand it correctly?
The idea would be creating an ownCloud app that does similar things to
zotero and would use ownCloud db.
In such case, Zotero's API will only help to synchronize the new app
with the actual zotero.
I am wondering what advantages we would have with a new app, rather
than using zotero with owncloud storate via webdav. Do you have in
mind some use cases on which we need this app to integrate with other
owncloud apps?

Alessandro
