Thanks to those already responded (Thomas and Michal) suggesting to look
in the apache and owncloud logs.
a) The apache error log shows absolutley nothing added when
accessing/submitting the owncloud initialisation page, but perhaps I
need to enable a higher level of error logging here???
The apache access log shows just the various GETs and one POST -
referring to /owncloud/index.php.
b) There is nothing that looks like a log file created by owncloud (I
believe it should end up in the owncloud/data sub-directory - /*which
remains empty.*/ )
By the way, the apache error-log shows the following whenever my apache
daemon starts:
... [notice] Apache/2.2.21 (FreeBSD) mod_ssl/2.2.21 OpenSSL/0.9.8n
DAV/2 PHP/5.3.8 with Suhosin-Patch configured -- resuming normal operations
Any other ideas?
