Hey everyone! The results of today’s meeting:

We use Gitorious for development now! https://gitorious.org/owncloud
Everyone who doesn’t have a Gitorious account yet, get one
https://gitorious.org/users/new
Instead of reviewboard, we’ll use the integrated merge requests.

release plan
   * release every quarter year, at end of month
   * count up version with every release, don’t communicate it in the
frontend (implement automatic updating)
   * use cloud names for announcements (cirrus, cumulus etc.). alpha:
thunderstorm, beta: partly cloudy
   * example release cycle
     * ownCloud 2
       * August 31: thunderstorm
       * September 15: partly cloudy (freeze, slow down development, focus
on fixes)
       * September 30: stable
     * December 31: ownCloud 3
     * March 31: ownCloud 4
     * June 30: ownCloud 5

 * get the website running http://test.owncloud.org
   * redirect owncloud.org & .com to the new site on Sunday, September 4
   * remove the wiki then as well, we’ll see if we need a wiki at all. If
we do, then we’ll use either Etherpad or the Gitorious wiki

 * use official channels for announcements, repeat notes from there to
make it more popular
   * Diaspora http://joindiaspora.com/u/owncloud
   * Identi.ca http://identi.ca/owncloud
   * Twitter http://twitter.com/ownClouders

 * what about groups? Are they needed?
   * groups like they are now are good for companies (admin can manage
groups)
   * we need per-user groups and group management to make it useful for
everyone

That’s it for now. You can check everything else on the Tasks page at
