[Owncloud] Syncany synchronization tool

So there’s a new free & open source synchronization tool released:

It encrypts files on the computer, can handle multiple storage services
such as FTP, Box.net, Google Storage etc. and has Nautilus integration
with versioning.

What about working with the developer to make ownCloud available as
storage service? Do we need an API for that? Is it even feasible?
