“1” is the shortcut for the “Yellow Highlighter”, which is a so called “Quick
Annotation”. The quick annotations are available in the “Quick Annotations”
button, which should be in the main toolbar by default. This button also
provides the option to “Configure Annotations”, which opens the configuration
dialog. 

The “Highlighter” tool in the annotation toolbar has Alt+1 as default shortcut.

interesting for ongoing work to improveme the new annotation UI. :)
